CHRYSOTYPE REX AND CYANOTYPE REX
20 & 21 April , 10.00-17.00.
Cyanotype Rex and Chrysotype Rex.
Herschel was dissatisfied with his chrysotype process when he developed it in the 1840s.
We have tweaked the chemistry to make it a simple and inexpensive process.
We have taken a similar approach to adjusting Herschel’s cyanotype process to give short
exposures and flexibility in the contrast range of the negative needed to produce a good cyanotype print.
We will produce cyanotypes in blues and delicate ochres. Those attending will receive free pdfs of both processes.
There will an additional charge for materials on the day.
