CYANOTYPE REX AND CHRYSOTYPE REX
8 and 9 June, 10.00-17.00.
Herschel was dissatisfied with his chrysotype process when he developed it in the 1840s.
We have tweaked the chemistry to make it a simple and inexpensive process. We have taken a
similar approach to adjusting Herschel’s cyanotype process to give short exposures and
flexibility in the contrast range of the negative needed to produce a good cyanotype print.
We will produce cyanotypes in blues and delicate ochres.
Those attending will receive free pdfs of both processes.
There will be a £10 charge for materials.
